Atomic Structure 3
In class, we just learned about atomic theory and nuclear chemistry. We first learned about Dalton's atomic theory, which consists of four statements regarding the properties of atoms. All of these statements are still true today except for the fact that atoms of the same element are identical. We then learned about the Law of Composition, which allows us to calculate the composition percentages of each part in a given compound. Finally, we learned about other scientists who contributed to the discovery of atomic structure, such as J.J. Thompson and Rutherford.
